Hello Sarah and Avrum,

Starry Nights was a gift; thank you. To hear the different recipients speak, as well as Avrum’s impassioned sharing was inspiring. To hear Bob Geldof  was enlightening.

Thank you for including FFPC in your wonderful evening – you know how to throw a party!

Take care,

Hi Sarah,

Dawn and I just wanted to thank you again for inviting us as your guests to the event last night. We really enjoyed ourselves. The food, the awards ceremony, and the entertainment were all terrific, and of course, hearing Sir Bob Geldof speak was a real treat.

Thanks once again and best wishes,

It was an inspirational evening.  The deserving Tikun Olam award recipients, some who faced unimaginable challenges, spoke of their journeys.  They all strive to inspire others by sharing their stories.  A woman named Theresa told  how by entering a writing contest sponsored by Ve’ahavta her entire world was changed.  She had been homeless and an addict but when shown kindness, compassion and was valued, she turned her life around and is now educating herself to pay it forward for others who walked in her shoes.  Sir Bob Geldof was captivating.  He spoke of his own journey from poverty and neglect as a youth, to becoming a world leader and humanitarian.   His message was, no matter where you come from, skills or talents you have or lack, there is always something you can do to help make a positive difference in someone’s life.

I enjoyed the evening immensely.

Dear Avrum:

Words can’t fully express how proud I was of you at your gala Starry Nights. You shined and spoke amazingly from the heart and as a result with great ease.

I want to  thank you for creating an evening where I felt so good to have contributed and be witness to some beautiful, truly  altruistic people in this world who have done such amazing things. The whole tone of the evening affected my spirit and those sitting next to me in a very moving way.

The message of Ve’ahavta still resonates with me and continues to give me what to think about.

Your MC, David Shore, was the best MC I have ever witnessed over the years as he was self-deprecating and not too serious from the first five seconds. So whoever gave him some tips for the evening was dead on… and boy did he deliver his role well!

It was a well done evening, and the receptions were organized and managed with true class.

So Yasher Koach to you and your wonderful staff and volunteers!

Once again, words aren’t enough to express how proud I am of you and to have been in the presence of such a great cause!

May the good that you always seek to do in the world come back to you with much love and success 100 times over.
