Kinder Kits

Donate NowLast year over 10 million children died before reaching the age of five in developing countries worldwide. In fact, in the next three seconds, another child will die. These high global child mortality rates are the result of diseases that could have been treated or prevented if access to proper medical care was readily available. The lack of access to health care is a direct result of overwhelming poverty that exists in most developing nations.

Ve’ahavta believes that one approach to relieving the devastating effects of poverty is proper access to education. In communities in countries such as Zimbabwe, Guyana and Argentina, children are unable to attend school because their parents cannot afford to pay for the required uniforms and educational supplies.

International Kinder Kits

As an organization, Ve’ahavta is embarking on a campaign that will provide education kits that contain the supplies necessary for a single child’s academic year. These kits will relieve one of the family’s financial obstacles to providing their children with the education needed to battle poverty.

Local Kinder Kits

Child poverty is not something that exists only in developing nations. It exists all across the Canada and the GTA. Each day, children go to school without the proper supplies and do not have the sporting goods that can keep them busy after school, while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

As a result, Ve’ahavta is also offering Kinder Kits that will be distributed to children in need in Toronto.

Each Kinder Kit contains:

  • 1 backpack
  • 2 exercise books
  • 1 writing book
  • 5 pens
  • 5 pencils
  • 10/pack of crayons
  • 2 erasers
  • 1 sharpener
  • 1 ruler
  • 1 pencil case

* Please note that this is a sample of a general Kinder Kit supplies list. Items may vary slightly depending on the recipient community’s needs.
