$5000 will provide food & coffee for one year to 10,000 homeless individuals
$3500 will send one individual to a full term of the Ve’ahavta Street Academy
$1000 will provide dinner for 150 homeless guests at the Ve’ahavta Passover Seder
$500 will provide notebooks to 350 children for one year
$250 will sponsor one prize to a winner of the Creative Writing Contest for the homeless
$100 will provide coffee for one week to 250 homeless individuals
$18 will give one child school supplies for one year

Every year Ve’ahavta has a Creative Writing Contest for the Homeless and Marginalized. This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Contest.

Are you outgoing and enthusiastic? Are you comfortable speaking in front of people? Do you have an interest in the Homeless and Marginalized Population?

We are looking for 7-10 Volunteers to facilitate Writing Workshops in the Community for the Creative Writing Contest. Each volunteer would be responsible for 2-3 workshops in the community.

Each workshop will be one hour and held in a local shelter or drop in center. The workshop material will be presented to you in a training session hosted by The Creative Writing Contest Coordinator. For more information, please contact Tessa at volunteerinfo@veahavta.org.
